Almond Cake Walk is hands down my most reached-for nighttime scent. I grab it anytime I need to slow down or quiet my mind โ it feels like a deep exhale at the end of the day.
Itโs a soft, fluffy almond cake with a smooth vanilla running through it, giving it that airy angel cake feel without turning buttery. Thereโs a slight powdery touch, but it stays light and cozy. Warm, comforting, and peacefulโฆ exactly what I want to wear to bed ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฐ
This is a great inspiration of the OG, the almond and powder notes take center stage initially. the powdery note doesnโt overpower it works very well. The hazelnut and pistachio are there too but not as dominate to me. Itโs just a wonderful scent, so comforting and itโs on the stronger side which I love. You also get that little bit of cake coming thru, ugh itโs SO good.
I recently bought a perfume second-hand, and the seller kindly included a few samples. Among them was Almond Cake Walk from MBK, a brand I wasnโt familiar with, but one sniff was all it took. I finished my sample in record time and immediately dove into researching the house, joining their Facebook group, and ordering a full bottle as soon as the web-store opened.
It has quickly become a signature in my collection: sweet, comforting, and impressively long-lasting. Iโve since ordered more from MBK and havenโt been disappointed yet. If youโre looking for a warm, cozy gourmand that smells like vanilla almond cake, this one is truly outstanding.
I will admit, at first spray, it was not a love for me because the powdery notes were a bit strong, so I put it away for a few weeks to sit and decided to revisit it last night by doing a full routine with the whipped sugar soap, hydrating oil, whipped lotion, and perfume, and let me tell you, it's now a love! The almond comes through now and it is a warm, cozy scent that is softened by the powdery notes. I topped it with a little Nuts About You and smell delicious. Even my husband commented that I smelled really good when he came home.
