Ok ok...so to be completely honest I did not love Sugar Plum Custard on its own at first...for me it was just missing something. Sugar plum custard is very dense and warm and creamy...it is very "custard" forward with a light beautiful sugar plum note and the faintest whipser of soft holiday spice on the dry down (at least to my nose).
I needed the "fruit" aspect to be more pronounced and I needed the sugary sweetness to be a little less dense and more whimsical and "sparkly"...like a sugar plum fairy. Soooo, I added a Blackberry note and a Cotton Candy note to both the edp extrait and the matching satin oil of this! And THIS absolutey did it...THIS is perfect!
The Blackberry helps support and bring out that Plum note better and the Cotton Candy helps the sweetness to sparkle in a more airy way...it is still a warm, cozy, and creamy scent...but these two notes are an Absolute MUST as an add on...they just make her into that sugary creamy plum custard that I was looking for! Perfect!
