The Last Carousel

The lights were starting to dim, the music had gone soft, and the midway was almost empty.

Everyone else was heading home, but there was still one carousel turning.

So you stayed.

One last ticket. One last ride. One last little piece of the night before it disappeared.

For a few more minutes, the lights blurred into color, the music played like it was meant just for you, and the whole world felt a little more magical than it probably was.
